Sunil Abeyewickreme - Legal Advisor
Prior to reading law and being called to the Bar, Sunil had graduated in the medical sciences. He has considerable experience in the areas of regulatory law, commercial dispute resolution and employment law. Sunil is often sought to advise on public law matters involving the NHS dental contract and he appears regularly at Employment Tribunals representing both claimants and defendants. Sunil has continued his interest in medicine and dentistry. He has given a number of presentations across the country on various legal subjects relevant to healthcare including ethics, employment law and the procurement of NHS dentistry to Primary Care Trusts. In addition, he has written The Patients Association’s Guidance to Living Wills which is referred to in the explanatory notes in the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
